I understand (mostly) the black country accent - not too good with a really broad glaswegian though - not as easy as on Taggart!!

Bumped into a group of Glaswegian school kids in Switzerland once. For 5 minutes couldn't figure out what language they were speaking

I was at a conference in Glasgow with two danish collegues, on the first evening we were looking for a restaurant, some kindly local soul asked if he could help us - the only things we understood were "McDonalds" and "Burger King"!!!
