I do not care very much where the Battle took place, only where a king should be buried. I really think you have lost the plot , I know it is Leicestershire ,and i have been to Bosworth , have you? Now leave me alone . :(

Don't forget that York Minster and Westminster Abbey to name but two, were catholic cathedrals when they were built. If he'd been buried in a manner fitting a king when he died, then he would have been buried in a cathedral that is now C of E.

they then moved to Halesowen.......don't take it hard its only a friendly Forum, but you can upset people by not getting facts correct.

Yes Mike you are exactly right, it is a very friendly forum, but occasionally your aggressive attitude comes out and doesn't help :wink:

There are nicer ways of stating your opinion, don't you think?

And, for I should not deal in her soft laws,
She did corrupt frail nature with some bribe,
To shrink mine arm up like a wither'd shrub;
To heap an envious car park on my back,"

Actually DT,to be serious for a second, like most "Kings and Queens " their elegibilty is quite often in doubt.Check Richard's genealogy and ask yourself what happened to the Princes' in The Tower?

It must have been amazing to be contacted by a genealogist and told that you're related to royalty!
Surely the living relatives should also have a say in where Richard is buried! I like the York idea personally.

Yes, they were Catholic places then, Snoopysue, but my point is that they aren't now. I wonder how a catholic would feel if they were told they had to be laid to rest in a protestant cathedral?
