So Ann E Whorton's maiden name was Jones?
She must have married a Whorton before Harry Cooksey?

Have I got that right?

Family Tree on Ancestry - Pargeter Family Tree says:

Evangeline Jones Cooksey b. 1896 Norton Canes
Adoptive Parents: Harry Cooksey & Annie Elizabeth Whorton

Spouse Henry H Parish, marriage: Bromsgrove, 1923

Born as Evangeline Jones Whorton, but adopted by her father's sister, Ann Elizabeth Cooksey.

So Evangeline is actually the daughter of a female Jones & a male Whorton?

Annie E has two brothers on the 1861 census - John b. 1847 Sedgley, Staffs. & William b. 1855 Cradley, Worcs.

I haven't been able to find hide nor hair of this family after 1861????

Geez, you're good, FS!

OK, so Evangeline Jones Worton - later known as Evangeline J W Cooksey - is probably the daughter of either John Worton or William Worton. William is not with his parents in 1871 - possibly already married or deceased. John C is there. Can we find either John or William in 1881 or 91?
