I have always thought that sometimes you cant believe a marriage cert for fathers name, because some people can put anything, how about if Joseph wasnt her father?

Hammer driver is also a striker as per the 1911 census.

So we can discount an Elizabeth Oliver marrying a John Benton as that one in 1887 marries Wm Lewis
and is running on new thread (this topic split)

and so the bad news is if on birth certif mother is a Lizzie Benton ..................then would need to get marriage in 1908
cos we cant see it on any transcripts.

and we still don't know who she is
