I found a likely match for John here:-

1841 Waste Bank Lye
Richard Taylor 50 Nailer
Betty 50
John 25
Thomas 20
Ann 20
Emmanuel 15
Richard 18
Myra 5
Jason 5

All Nailers all born Lye

1851 Waste Bank Lye
Richard Taylor Hd M 60
Elizabeth Wife 60
John Son U 35
Richard Son U 23
Jason Grandson 14
Hancox Knowles Grandson 10
Myrah Taylor Da 16
Mariah Taylor Granddaughter 11

All Nailers all born Oldswinford

Also near Richard in 1851 is a George Taylor Nailer aged 60 with a Mary Spittle aged 70. George born Old Swinford.

Not sure if and where this all connects, work in progress. There are a few Wm Taylor's born Lye about 1860. :!: Will keep searching. Linell.

A possibility in 1871:-

Love Lane Lye Waste
John Taylor HD Widower 53 Nailer
John Son U 22
Joseph Son U 18
William aged 10 (missed his relationship, will look it up again.)

John could maybe be a nickname, or Edward was a miss-transcription :?:

Plot thickens as:-
Linell left off second family in house in 1911 Census
Edward Campbell Head 69 Tailor Journeyman
Eliza Campbell wife 68
Married 49 years , 10 children , 6 living
Edward Campbell son 39 (wid)
? Campbell 36 Crossed out ?
Married 13 years , 1 child
Eliza Campbell dau 12 Scholar
Kate Campbell dau 12 Scholar
All born Lye Worcs.

and 1881 Census Hill Street/ Spring Street Halesowen Stourbridge Worcs.
Edward Campbell Head 39 Tailor
Eliza Campbell 39 Wrought Nail Maker
William Campbell son 20 Mason
Caroline Campbell dau Wrought Nail Maker
John Campbell son 13 Scholar
Edward Campbell son 8 Scholar
Eliza Campbell dau 6
Thomas Campbell son 5mth
John Taylor lodger 64 Wrought Nail Maker

John Taylor looks like the John Taylor aged 74 on 1891 Census
but what relationship is with Campbell family I cannot tell

Jan I am just going to add what I know is 100% to BCC and leave the Taylor family, just going round in circles. Mumbles the 1911 Census only brings up one page with one family on it.

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =765402674

Think we should remove Hannah Turner maybe wife of George and look up Maria's Baptism, born 1914.

Edward Campbell and family are at 74 Park Street on Findmypast
and at 75 Park Street with William Taylor on ancestry
William Taylor aged 50 son Bricklayers Lab. is one of Campbell family members crossed out
The page is a mess as Edward Campbell is Shown as Father and Eliza Campbell as mother on original
and Head and wife on transcription
There is also a lot of Campbell and other family members crossed out
