Suki,
How did you come to the conclusion that Prudence b1844's parents were Elisha & Martha?

I have found a baptism in transcripts St Giles parish records 18/2/1844
Prudence daughter of Elisha and Martha Willetts Pear Tree Lane occ victualler
and there is a death for Martha Willetts age 29 fever 17/10/1844 this however says Pear Street I think its the same place as there is an entry Place of Joseph's death age 3yr 10months Pear Tree' Lane Street' and his birth add. was Pear Tree Lane. Prudence may have been reared by her grandmother as she was only 8 months old when her mother died. Dad married again to Mary he must have died after 51 and before 1861.

Well now, you've really throw a cat amongst the pigeons, Suki! 'Cos I think this throws the parentage of the Elisha who married Susannah Tibbetts into question, see here:
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections
If Joseph and Elizabeth are Prudence's grandparents, then Elisha-who-married-Martha must be the son of Joseph & Elizabeth! And we might have to go looking for the parents of Elisha-who-married-Susannah. :(

Would a look up for the marriage of Elisha and Martha say Elishas father from what Jimmy found ? Or with Mary Beddowes or Downes?
I'm not sure if you ask for this on the look ups :?

Hi a look up if after 1837 would say the father if we are lucky
not sure what year was found.
Yes it would need to go on the look ups section and if at Dudley or Sandwell under that topic
Witnesses sometimes useful if pre 1837

Elisha 1814 is definitely the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Willetts and he Married Susannah Tibbetts. It's all coming back to me, this tree was all done on RR with Anna Willetts, an Australian girl Lisa was researching this family. Do you remember Di or Mallosa, it went on for months, Anna went to Dudley and looked it all up in the Archives, think it connected to her husbands family, there is a picture somewhere on one of the sites of Joseph and Elizabeth's Grave at St Lukes, I remember seeing it, does anyone else remember doing all this? Best Wishes Linell.

The Grave is of Elizabeth Willetts wife of Joseph, it is in Mally's Photo Gallery, sorry I tried to copy the link, sure Mally will be on here soon, and will provide us with the evidence. Best Wishes Linell.

I do remember all that work done on RRO, Linell. Do we have 2 Prudences, both with fathers named Elisha? or what is going on here? Very, very confused :? :(

Thanks for the moral support Di, think you and I are the only ones who do remember that Willetts thread! I am also lost on Prudence, are you saying she is Elisha's Mother Suki? Best Wishes Linell.
