So do we think then that the Ann Maria that marries Samuel Shaw is dau of Joseph Attwood and Mary
and she goes onto marry Samuel shaw whilst her first husband hezekiah Pearson is still alive
cos that wot it looks like to me

this one has same info as the All saints in 1860 re father for him and her

So wasnt there a 7 year law on remarriage

maybe she marries for a second time to the same person as 1866 would be 7 years clear
if she firstly married in 1853 to Hezekiah they could have split up soon after

maybe the 1860 wasnt quite long enuff clearance of years to achieve the 7 years clear
so marry again in 1866

Hi Jan, yes Ann Maria and Maria are one of the same, have found these notes on my tree:-

Seems to have been known as just Maria. The Witness to Maria and Samuel's Marriage was a Thomas Fieldhouse. In 1861 Maria and Samuel are living with Maria's mother Mary Attwood, who is now a Widow.

Can't get my head around why she Married Samuel Shaw twice though
