I have just had a look at this and some bapts.
On the marriage of son John Samuel is a boatman and alive in 1850
On the marriage of dau Ellen Samuel is a boatman but dead
Our Samuel on the 1841 census and 1851 is a Boatman
The one on the census above is alive and in lomey town in 1851/61/71
So I dont think he is ours.
And he is a chainmaker
John Westwood b abt 1826 is deffo sibs to Joseph/ rosannah cos in the Rowley Regis book they are all in will post in a min
living at Waterfall lane...so Samuel is father to John /Joseph / Rosannah and Thomas..
Rosanna Westwood - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 14 SEP 1835 Rowley Regis, Stafford,
Joseph Westwood - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 13 JUL 1828 Rowley Regis, Stafford,
Thomas Westwood - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 14 SEP 1835 Rowley Regis, Stafford,
John Westwood - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 12 FEB 1826 Rowley Regis, Stafford,
So I think we have the correct Samuel...must say though he puts nailer on Johns and Labourer on other kids bapt but that could be a labourer on the boats
but the census for Samuel and kids match above.
So I think John is with the correct family.
Just dont think Samuel and James are.
So I think we have Samuel and James with incorrect parents
Isaac and Mary/Sarah did have a James and Samuel but different ages
The Samuel we need is born abt 1797
and the James we need for his bro is b abt 1815 and I found these two
