Jo, was just checking children of Thomas Fellows 1778 and Hannah Hingley 1780 Married 1798 RR. We have Thomas bap Halesowen 25.8.1799. Caroline bap Cradley 2.7.1820 and James Hingley Fellows bap Cradley 12.5.1822.

Also found on the IGI
Phoebe bap 12.11.1815 Park Lane Cradley
Hannah bap 25.12.1809 Park Lane Cradley
Mary Ann bap 30.8.1807 Park Lane Cradley
All to parents Thomas and Hannah Fellows

I am concerned that Thomas baptised 1799 does not fit with the other children, too much of a gap :?: Seems like there could be two Thomas and Hannah's unless Thomas Married twice, what do you think :?: Have only found the one Marriage to Hannah Hingley, but not easy finding anything on the new IGI. :?

I see what you mean Linell. It is possible though that they are parents of Thomas Christend 1799 as they married 1798.
I dont know?
On the family search allowing 30 years for births and as England, leaving forename out and adding parents as Thomas and Hanannh, you get a few results.
Areas are, Sedgley, Oldbury, St Peter or Collgiate, Cradley, Halesowen and Edgbaston.
Any thoughts?
Jo :)

Hi Jo, this all fits with Emily being born about 1832 sister of Lucy Fellows:-

TBC
05 Jul 1857 Old Swinford,Worcester
John Tate
Emily Fellows

1861. Furlong Lane, Cradley
John Tate, head, 25, Forge Man,
Emily, wife, 25,
Samuel Abel, son, 2,
Louisa Contance, daur, 3 months
All born Cradley

Don't know why Emily is recorded as illegitimate or who Sarah Homer was. I am sure the Rev Thompson made mistakes like the rest of us. I will have a look through the Census and 1857 notes and see if I can find anything else.

I think we should leave Thomas Fellows and Hannah Hingley, as you say, the Marriage date fits, maybe Thomas was away at War for a few years, I believe the Napoleonic Wars and American War of Independence were around that time. There is only a gap of 8 years between Thomas 1799 and Mary Ann 1807. Hannah Hingley would have been about 40 when the younger ones were born. I will add the other siblings to BCC and put a note regarding the fact that we think Thomas 1799 is probably their son too. Later from Lin.

Sarah Homer is a mystery - I don't know who she is.
Tates pop up elsewhere in my family - more later

Thomas and Janes daughter Sarah(Sarah Maria) B1871 married in 1893 Benjamin Westwood.
Only details I have is married September 1893 Worcestershire BDM index
I saw mention of Gwendoline B1894 their daughter in one of the previous posts.
Cant find this Benjamin Westwood on BCC

Rhonda Miriam B1878 married in 1901 George Albert Ingley B1877 June Quarry Bank BDM index
I see a George Albert Hingley on BCC B1876 Oregon and Father Noah Hingley.

I have an article on the Old Mogul Inn - George Albert Ingley was publican 1908-1932 and 1901 census shows George, Rhonda with Rhonda parents Thomas Fellows and Jane, with Gwendoline.
Not sure about Ingley and Hingley..
