92 is Abel Tate so who is Sarah Homer?
Hi Jo, this all fits with Emily being born about 1832 sister of Lucy Fellows:-
TBC
05 Jul 1857 Old Swinford,Worcester
John Tate
Emily Fellows
1861. Furlong Lane, Cradley
John Tate, head, 25, Forge Man,
Emily, wife, 25,
Samuel Abel, son, 2,
Louisa Contance, daur, 3 months
All born Cradley
Don't know why Emily is recorded as illegitimate or who Sarah Homer was. I am sure the Rev Thompson made mistakes like the rest of us. I will have a look through the Census and 1857 notes and see if I can find anything else.
I think we should leave Thomas Fellows and Hannah Hingley, as you say, the Marriage date fits, maybe Thomas was away at War for a few years, I believe the Napoleonic Wars and American War of Independence were around that time. There is only a gap of 8 years between Thomas 1799 and Mary Ann 1807. Hannah Hingley would have been about 40 when the younger ones were born. I will add the other siblings to BCC and put a note regarding the fact that we think Thomas 1799 is probably their son too. Later from Lin.
