have you got them on other census?

I think Jimmy said that family search pilot scheme gave some info on those that went to america but not sure
at least if you discounted that marriage then you might know when she went to america

Those are the same person but the age is out quite a bit, it looks like that she only stayed about 6 months.

well done again! I have no information from census, as this conversation only came to light this week. The Caroline b. 1872 seems to be the sister. Mum & dad have found the birth, marriage cert of Hannah, & death of Walter Evans, so thats accurate.
Dad recalls one of Carolines daughters visiting in the 1950's and taking COLOURED photographs! She stayed at the grand hotel in Birmingham, & thought black country houses were cute, and our little cars were quaint! Dad wrote to her on the death of his mother, but never received a reply...

I think the family Jimmy found in 1881 is a different family-I made the same mistake, but thanks for your efforts Jimmy!
Caroline never returned to England I believe-I think her daughter visited. i wonder if she emigrated with the Cartwright family she was staying with in 1891 that you found. The age is about right.
Is it just me-or are my lot particularly awkward!
