I suggest Lyn sending for that Eli Priest b 1854 certif
get the maiden name of that Mary that marries James

then we can find the marriage and hopefully look it up
If James and Joseph are bros....then hopefully on marriage father will be on for James

Just to let you know.. I have just ordered the birth regn of this Eli Priest (parents James and mary) Cert is not anticipated to be delivered out until March 28th... stay tuned.. thanks everyone - Lynn

Hello all.
Home from Florida... and I'm disappointed. There are two Eli Priests... One born to James Priest and Mary (unknown)...and this is the one that I wanted the cert for. The cert that I (apparently) ordered is that of my Eli Priest...whose father is Joseph Priest and mother is Rosannah Raybould. I had a 50/50 chance... and it didn't work.

I will now order the "other" Eli Priest certificate. It was a difficult choice as both Eli's were born within a year of one another and also in the Rowley Regis area etc. You can archive this message... It will be at least another 3-4 weeks before a new cert can be ordered and received by me.... I'll come back to this forum as soon as I have some definitive news. Thanks to everyone... Lynn
