Great efforts all round and sorry it's such a mystery. You've disccovered that a Hannah Rollason seems to link to the Hamptons both as neighbour and a witness - interesting but sadly it's not conclusive. I am puzzled about the absence of any Rollason births to Joseph and Hannah between the 1814 marriage and Hannah and Phebe so something is not right. At some point in the future I will have a look at the Joseph/Hannah 1814 marriage record in Dudley (and also Moses/Phebe) but it won't be just yet.
I think there is something in the Moses name being used for Moses Turner. Don't know about the Lucy bit - other than Lucy was Joseph Turner's first wife's name too - could have been his choice.
Suppose the frustration is part of the fun?

carolina wrote:Have only recently returned to this one but sadly I have far too many gaps and guesses at the moment. I was working around this marriage from 25 Dec 1839 St Th:
Joseph Turner widower full age miner
Hannah Rollason minor both from Netherton
fathers: John Turner deceased nailor; Joseph Rollason deceased miner
witnesses: Moses and Hannah Hampton
The "Moses" name was of interest in that the couple's first child was Moses Turner. These witnesses could be the bride's mother and either uncle or grandfather Moses.
There is a Joseph Rolinson/Hannah Hampton marriage 24 October 1814 which would fit - I've not had chance to check to see if the witnesses help here. I've not found Hannah Rollason's christening either. (That's why I turned to looking at the Hamptons - and anyone calling their children Moses or Phoebe en route.)
Of the Hampton children listed, Moses is visible on censuses in Netherton, while Zachariah moves to the Bristol area. I have yet to confirm Hannah with dtr Phebe Golding (previously Rolinson) in 1861 is the "right" one.
My interest stems from the Turners - and a marriage link with a Griffiths family on BCC.
So JO and Carolina just for interest which Hamptons are Joseph Turner and Hannah neighbours with? on which census pls
and Carolina you mention a link to the Griffiths on bcc
can you highlight which one and we can run with it pls
