My mom gave up at 80 - only because she broke her shoulder climbing on a chair and it hurt so much when she coughed. 93 next week - bless her.

For Mike, who's Wife says he is miserable and anyone else feeling down in the dumps at the start of this New Year. Why worry, according to some, the World ends this year, so make the most of it. :grin:

You have to keep renewing the tar holding your lungs together otherwise they will stop working.

Anntie Em my mom smoked till she was 89......died of Diverticulitis.....you mom sounds great.

Yes - she is - the only thing that worries her now is how many chocolates can she eat because she has type 2 diabetes. Although she swears the doctor told her she could eat as much cake as she likes as long as she eats it after a meal - don't think he did really
