I downloaded The Twelev Days of Christmas after you mentioned Nessa , and I am enjoying it so far and it's a light easy read:-)

It has the feel good factor, just read another one of hers Chocolate Wishes again light not too taxing just what you need this time of year.

Glad you are enjoying the book Annie, Wolf Hall was good full of detail but couldn't read too much at one go took about a month to read.

Thank you Nessa I will try that one also, you are right it's good to sit down with a book that's not taxing special when you have been round the shops pushing, shoving and queuing , I read about 2/3rds of other and still enjoying.

Don't usually do Ghost stories - but really enjoyed this

I'm part way through the second Inspector Carlyle book by James Craig, but waiting on my Kindle is a literary blast from the past that was on offer for the bargin price of 99p - namely The Wombles! I never read or had the books read to me as a child, but I loved them on the telly and even had my own Tomsk!

I love Barbara Erskine's books, Auntie Em! I'm reading "The Lady of the Rivers" by Phillippa Gregory on my new kindle. It's very good.

Just read on Phillippa Gregory's Facebook page that the Roses trilogy is going to be televised by the BBC. Can't wait!

I have two favourites of Barbara Erskine Midnight is a Lonely Place and Whispering Sands, but all of hers are fascinating. If you want something lighter I enjoy Veronica Henry's books all funny.

I have read this and enjoyed it also, I enjoy these kind now and again it makes a nice change.

The Twitterverse is on about The Hungry Games trilogy. I managed to find free downloads for all 3 books. They're really for young adults or "old teens", but what the heck, I'm feelin' sprightly

I would love to pick up a book again but Genealogy has got in the way
I want to read Wordsworths poetry again
feel melancholy with T.S Elliot again
get to grips with noddy visits toyland
anything that has a pulse!
or a metre
cos my clock is ticking and ...................

That is a bit naughty of you Di!
But they are really good storyline wise. lack a bit of depth because they are for teenagers but I enjoyed them and look forward to the film.
I'm reading Alice because I got it free for my Kindle and I haven't read it since I was about 9.
