I've just got out of bed after last night's gathering - ooh those special brews really have an effect.............only kidding

Thanks to everybody who went along, we had a really good night and as Cid has already said, it was really lovely to put faces to names. Mally made us all stand up and raise our glasses to absent friends. No idea where she kept popping off to though. Missed seeing you Linell and Jimmy.

Many thanks for organising it NL and Mally  Here's to the next one

Gee, you are all quick off the mark!

We've just got back from the Black Country Living Museum (lovely place - and fantastic fish 'n chips, Dennis. Thanks for the tip  ). Also took that walk by the canal, Jimmy - another good tip.)

What a great night! I was tickled pink that so many people could make it. Those of you who couldn't - you were in our thoughts all night (and possibly in there in spirit - was it you who kept draining my glass all night, Annie?)

Thank you all so much for the lovely prezzies, even if it means I now have to learn a foreign language. I'm saving the scratchings to comfort me in the wilds of Scotland... Although, that might be difficult after the taste last night - scrumptious!!! I promise to have my photo taken wearing my BC Connections T-shirt in all manner of strange places ... that didn't quite come out the way I meant it :?

Thank you NL, Wolvie and Mally for all your organisational and chauffeuring efforts (and for the guided tour, Wolvie). Brian and I really appreciated you all making it a wonderful night     Mwahs all round.

Di (& Bri)

Mally -- I thought you might appreciate this reply from my sister when I asked whether I was being too bossy!!

"you are not bossy just coordinating procedures "

Where would we have been without you and NL coordinating things? certainly not enjoying a pleasant evening meeting lots of interesting new people in the flesh!

Good aren't they? Four years on my daughter still moans that I wouldn't let her finish hers because we needed to go on the mine trip!

AND to add insult to injury she ducked out of it, not liking the idea of being underground (all of one foot below surface I swear). Considering that her father and two grandfathers were miners I'm not sure what went wrong genetically.

Glad you all had a great time, very envious here!
