This maybe the wrong board to post this on, so apologies if it is. Thought about putting it on the lookup offers board, but that seemed to be if you had hard copies or cd's of records. Anyway, I'm going to the National Archives at Kew and the LDS Family History Center in South Kensington next week to have alook at a few records that are of interest to me. If anybody wants me to lookup some records for your research I'm more than willing to do it. I'm thinking about going Thurs/Fri as I think they are open till 9.

Logic merely enables one to be wrong with authority.
Think this is all that might be available for me as according to the National Archives Website, they dont hold a lot of records I am looking for:
Piece reference MH 12/11626 - West Bromwich 430 - Poor Law Union - For Reference of any Halls
Albert Gowler Suffolk Regiment (12th Foot) 4th Battalion from Chatteris Cambs Reference WO96/248 (Althogh Im not sure what this relates to! Where did he live? Who were his next of kin etc? Is his name actually Albert!

Hi Snoopysue,
At least it will give me a good excuse to do more researching of my own whilst I'm there. Plus, they are only about 20mins from my house so not to far to travel.

Evening Andrew, I have made a note of these and I will check them out for you. I will be going to Kew and Family history center next week, not sure which day yet as I have other commitments but it will be either Mon/Tues or Friday. I will let you know when I'm going.

Not that I want you to have loads more work Mike!
You can only do what you can in the time you have. Such a kind offer too.
Jo
Hi Jo, That's not a problem, please copy it into the look up offers if you wish, as I said before I'm not to far from both these centers so it won't be to much of a problem to get there. However I do work shifts, day and night. So I might not be able to do the look up as quickly as I would like, but I will do them asap.
Ok thanks Mike we can add this in to the list if that is ok......
