Glasses

Do you wear Glasses?
Is it normal for new ones to be lobsided?

I have just replaced my old fabulous glasses
which were designer improved
(they had chiropadest padding on the bridge to stop em rubbing me....the archives will verify what an idiot I looked in them)
but they were comfy!!

I splashed out on some super dooper light ones titanium, all singing all dancing specs
and they ay rite!

Why cant they invent glasses without the bridge!!

There is an advertisment at the bottom of your post Northern Lass that could answer your problem , the ad says 'win free laser eye surgery' :grin:

I wear glasses but not the designer type I only need them for close work and a different pair for driving.

I need glasses for reading now so use $5.00 ones from the Reject Shop. They work just fine.
Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.

I broke the arm on my specs the other day (well actually it fell off) and I have superglue on them at the moment and they keep slipping down my nose. I have to have varifocals, it's going to be 2/3 weeks before my new ones are ready which are costing an arm and a leg. :(

Jan I had this problem before Christmas.

Replaced my old specs with super ones from a large chain, had one pair of varifocals and a second pair with reactive lens.

Shortly afterwards I had to keep adjusting them and was getting more and more frustrated, they really were
uncomfortable and I was also having difficulty reading.

Decided it was time I did something about it.

I rang and made an appointment to see the Manager of the store and as soon as I sat down she studied my specs and said
"Do you feel your glasses are lopsided?" . Anyway to cut a long story short she examined them and almost exploded -
she said the frames had been badly fitted, twisted and should never have left the store. Couldn't apologise enough - offered
a full refund or a choice of any of their designer frames (no extra charge) which I what I did.

It pays to complain!

I have to say the Opticians are fabulous and have ordered me another pair
so as far as customer service then they are great,
and he is cute too :grin: :oops:

I will get them sorted next week
wonder if my ears are uneven :o

Just make sure you pluck the hairs out your ears!! I hate women with excess hair !!
Why dont you try a monocle? Ideal for lazy eyes!!

Having a lazy eye myself I think the idea of a monocle is terrific.

Do you think it would get me a seat on the train if I stared at them manacingly though the monocle?

Perhaps I would need a good "handle bar" moustache to go with it?

Speaking on behalf of one eyed people (I am 95% blind in the lazy eye) ask "What is the idea of ruining movies with this 3D rubbish????"

All us "cyclops" see is a blurry picture :cry:
