Have sent for Frederick Robert Whiting's marriage cert so hopefully will give a correct age and father's name. In case it is Nur can you find Nur in 1861 and 71 please? Was born c1858.

Received Frederick Robert's marriage cert. He was 33 in 1920 so is the one b1887 and his father was Nur. A result eh?

Re: Those Gubbys again!
Thanks a lot. Found out you can access ancestry free from libraries. Found Nur aged 3 in 1861 with widowed father Wm and sons Inkerman and Nan and a 20yr old Jane Knight housekeeper who he marries that year. Have progressed quite well and when told certain facts Frederick Robert's son said he already knew his father was a twin but she was known by another name, namely Maud and not Bessie Jane!! He could have told me some of this info but was reluctant to divulge, but he's showing more interest now especially after being told William Whiting and Jane went on to have another 11 children.
