Greetings from South Australia
Hello, I have just registered here. I am a Brit who has lived in Australia for the past 42 years. I would like very much to trace my ancestors who come from London and Essex regions.
The surnames I am looking for are TURBEFIELD, RAWLINSON, WHIFF, WHITE, HAGGARTY or HAGERTY, BURNS, MILLETT.

Hi Aussie Brit welcome to the forum
Are you looking for any particular ancestor at the moment?
If so and you would like more information on them, post a query in the main genealogy section on the board.
Give us the name, year and any other relevant info and we will do our best to help you discover all about them!
If you have any from the Black Country area of the midlands we have a dedicated section and team ready to help you!
Might be an idea to stick a note of your surnames in the Surname interests section too and we can add them to the surname interest list that we are updating!
Phew! you gonna be busy....
get posting lad!

hi aussie-brit and welcome
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Hi Nutsy - I have 2 brothers up in QLD. I just have to go visit again one day.... I love it there!!
Thanks for the welcome ppl, I've been taking some time looking around in here - still got lots to see though.
I'll talk more in the appropriate areas - trusting I know which is which LOL
Night shift dianel? Hmmm well, we are downunder and I am nocturanal too LOL.
Ahh sheeut, did I mention that our family is from England? We came out here in 1966, of course I was a little kid at the time. We used to live in Southend-On-Sea. I still have family there but mum's sister and family came out with us and mum's brother & family followed out a few years later. I want to separate the two countries for the benefit of future generations but still keeping the link to the old, if you know what I mean. Like 2 family trees??
