Hi All, I have found the following attached image (edited for ease of viewing) but I'm not sure what it means.
Does it mean that Ethel Hart had arrived in the Hackney Union, settling in Stoke Newington at some point (date not known) was looking for poor law relief and was working in the workhouse and so a case was heard (3573/22) and they deemed that she should be given poor law relief in Chelsea Union and was ordered to leave on 25 July 1922 and this was all reported to the committee on 8 Aug 1922.
Ethel Hart was living in Stoke Newington in 1921 working as a general servant so coul this be that she lost that job and had to work in the workhouse hence the paperwork above?
If not, what does it mean, and does anyone know if the case files or any other associated paperwork could be viewed?

Re: London Settlement Explanation Required
Thanks for that. I've already searched but nothing really explains what it all means. I was hoping someone here had some more in-depth knowledge of the process.

possible because she was a resident or been associated with Chelsea rather than hackney as relief was only given to locals if i remember correctly
