Caroline Burley wife 41 born Rowley Regis
Alfred Burley nephew 16 Apprentice to Painting
Frank Forrest Apprentice 18 Apprentice to Smithing
Thomas Francomb Aprentice 15 Wheelwright born Halesowen Worcs.
Elizabeth Lee servant 13 born Halesowen Worcs.

Thomas Burley and Caroline Elizabeth Hingley are in my tree. His parents are Joseph c1805 and Mary Easthope. Thomas is my 1st coz 4xremoved.

TYPO FOR MARRIAGE; 1850 NOT 1950

1851 Thomas is a master wheelwright and an employer at Four Ways Reddal Hill.

1861 he is 35 at King Street. His brother in law Herbert Hingley 17 is staying with them.

1871 Thomas is 45 and still a wheelwright.

Not in 1881 census. Found death 1880 aged 55. He was buried at Staffs 1 June 1880. Have not found any children for them.

Probate 12 April 1881 at Lichfield on estate of Thomas Burley of Cradley Heath, a coach builder, who died 29 May 1880 at the same was granted to his widow Caroline Elizabeth and his brother Joseph,butcher of West Bromwich, and George Burford grocer. Less than £600.

1841 Caroline Hingley is 12 at Surfeit Hill.

1851 She was a shopkeeper aged 22.

1861 at King Street Cradley Heath. They had no children.

1871 her nephew Alfred is staying with them.

1881 Thomas has died and Caroline 48 now works as a coach builder at The New Inn timberyard. She has an apprentice and 2 nephews, Samuel Foley 20 and Walter Stewart Hingley 15 working in the business.

1891 Caroline 60 is a master coach builder and Walter is still with her plus a couple of boarders.

1901 now 70 she is still a wheel wright and an employer at 20 King Street. She has a visitor Sarah Hancox 68. Is she a relative?

1911 Caroline 80 is no longer working and Walter has taken over the business. He and his wife Sarah and their 4 children live together at King Street in 5 rooms.

1915 Caroline dies aged 84. Probate to her estate 8 April 1915 at London was given to Samuel Foley professor of music and David Hingley wheelwright, the sum of £1901 4s 9d.
