Jan posted he married Hannah Unknown but children registered as mother Hale
and I found Freereg marriage :
St. Peter Wolverhampton 1/11/1837
Joseph Baker 20 Miner Dudley Road father Joseph Baker Miner
Hannah Hale 20 Dudley Road father John Hale Miner
Witnesses :- John Biddulph & Sarah Pitt
Jan also posted possible 2nd marriage to a Matilda Marston but occupations of Joseph and His father do not add up as Butcher as against Miner.
I found son John born 1857 with mother Hale so is it possible Hannah did not die until after 1857 and he married a Matilda after that and before 1861 Census ?
Daughter Matilda born 1855 Brierley Hill cannot find on GRO

Thanks Jimmy,
So does it mean Joseph and Matilda did not marry until 1878 ? or is it a different Matilda ?

I'm not sure, his father is right but her father is John Hale not John Adams.
