I went to a school called Follett Osler in Ladywood, Birmingham

This must be where the name came from....

Follett Osler funded the clock tower at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

Osler Street and Osler Street School, Ladywood, were named in his honour.

Abraham Follett Osler was a pioneer in the measurement of meteorological and chronological data.
