GAMESON family

Postby KiwiLass » Tue Jan 09, 2018 9:15 pm

I have just found you all, and am thrilled to see that there are already some people searching my husband's family!
My husband is descended from Alfred GAMESON, son of George GAMESON, who lost children in the Little Hill Street Tavern fire in December 1863. Alfred was born five years after the fire. I have already read through some of the comments and links that I can see, and am excited to be able to connect with like-minded people.

I am now trying to find more details about the grandfather mentioned in the newspaper articles who took the boys in after the fire. I discovered yesterday that John was buried on the same day as the daughters, although the article had said that he seemed fine. I did wonder how the boys got on after landing heavily after a jump from a two-storey building.

i look forward to exciting interactions from around the world, to my computer here in drizzly old New Zealand.

Hi Delia, Welcome to the forum
A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

It came from http://www.sherv.net/cm/emoticons/hello ... oticon.gif but I originally found it on another forum and just traced the address back.
