Greetings from a Newbie to this forum

Hello

My name is Barry, I'm 77 years of age, living in the London Borough of Hillingdon. I have been researching both the spear and distaff sides of mine and my wife's families on and off for the past 20+ years and have returned after a break of about 5 years.

When I started, internet accessible records were sparse and I spent many hours trawling through BMD, fiche and film records at the Family Records Centre (before it moved to Kew) and the Metropolitan Archives.

With so much more information now accessible on-line I hope to finally nail a couple of brick walls that have been bugging me for years.

I also have some computer software related queries that I hope one of your contributors may be able to answer and will post these in the appropriate place in the forum.
