I can't find a baptism for Catherine, but she appears in the census with her father Elijah, b abt 1820, Kingswinford and mother Jane, born Herefordshire.

It seems Elijah Pearson married twice, firstly to Catherine Read, 14 Oct 1838, Holy Trinity, Wordsley, and secondly Jane Crow nee Rollins (Rawlings?), (Catherine's mother),13 Dec 1860, St Mary, Old Swinford (IGI- ODM, but no details other than date).

Elijah Pearson (this time born abt 1815, Kingswinford) appears in the 1851 census with his wife Catherine, born abt 1818, Kingswinford, their 9 year old son, William, b Kingswinford.
They are living with Catherine's parents William Read, aged 63, born Kingswinford (a potter), and Catherine, 64, born Dudley.

Catherine Read, although she says she was born in Kingswinford, was bapt Dudley 20 Oct 1818, d of William & Catherine Read (Non-Conformist Records on IGI -neither ODM or Easy, but another type of record, usually with a similar (ODM) record of where the bapt took place, but not in this case. I have A A Rollasons book of the Dudley Non-Conformist Records, which covers the Society of Friends (Quakers), The Old Meeting House, Methodist Chapel, Wolverhampton Street, New Street Baptist Chapel, King Street Independent, and King Street Methodist), and her bapt is not in there, so not sure where it would have been.

Thanks RF - I've just checked again and that entry is definitely missing from Rollasons book!

Thanks again RF I think there was also a son, John, about 1813/14 - he's not in the book either!
Incidentally, those Mackays below Catherine Read on the image you posted I think are one of the James Mackays, father and son, who were both Beadle/ Sexton at St Andrews, Netherton, and appear in countless marriage entries as witness.
