Hi and the Fearnall Family from Kidderminster

Post by Fearnall »

Hello everybody,

Thank you for letting me join the Geneology Forum. I was recommended to join after I posted on Kidderminster past a few months ago.
I am researching the FEARNALL family tree and have hit upon a brick wall! My Grandfather was Benjamin Fearnall born in Bridgnorth to John Fearnall and Mary Pearce in 1885. John Fearnall was one of 6 children that I know about! He was born 1835/37. He married Mary Ann Pearce in Kidderminster in 1877 and died 17/06/1888 in Bridgnorth.
John was one of 6 children; Elizabeth, John , William, Ann, Robert and Maria Fearnall all born to Joseph Fearnall and Mary King? Joseph was a carpet weaver. Joseph may have been born around 1796? He was recorded as deceased on the marriage certificate of John and Mary in 1877. This is where my mystery starts.
I have a deat h certificate for a Joseph Fearnall (carpet weaver) died in 1857 aged 67 years, however the informant is Phoebe Fearnall from York St, Kidderminster. I think she was married to another Joseph Fearnall? So did Joseph and Mary Fearnall have more children than I originally thought? There just isn't something adding up here and I'm stuck. If anyone can help me I would be very grateful, I don't seem to be able to see the wood for the trees, if you know what I mean. Many thanks.

A person should have an opinion on everything, It becomes tact whether you reveal that opinion or not.

Welcometo the forum.

We like to keep this area for simple introductions so I've copied your original post to the Brick Wall section where it should attract more replies.
Currently investigating the Hillmans of Sussex.
