This Thomas Long added by Jan

http://www.bcconnections.tribalpages.co ... =108182601

Marries an Isabella Dixon

This looks like him :-
1851 Census St.Johns Road Dudley Staffs.
Thomas Long Head 25 Miner born Bristol Somersets.
Beller wife 23 Lace Maker born Tiverton Devons.
George Long son 3
Susannah Long dau 1
Rest born Dudley Worcs.
Note Susannah Long baptised 1852 parents Thomas & Isabella Long

Thomas Long dies 1853 Dudley

and we then find Isabella and Susannah in 1861

1861 Census Pedmore Road Dudley Worcs.
Thomas Hickman Head 28 Horse Nail Maker
Isabella Hickman wife 33 born at Sea ( could be Burnham on Sea)
Susanna Long step.dau 10
Ann Long step.dau 9
Mary Hickman dau 3
William Hickman son 9mths.
Rest born Dudley Worcs.

No evidence of marriage

and then bcc has Isabella marrying a Titus Hadlington in 1873

Cannot find Isabella in 1871 or Titus and Isabella after 1873 marriage

You have cracked it Jimmy

as on 1871 Census
1871 Census 119 High Street Woodside Dudley Worcs.
Samuel Rogers Head 32 Coal Miner
Selina Rogers wife 24
Hannah Rogers dau 3mths.
Ann Long boarder 19 (u) Labourer
Hannah Long dau 4mths. Illegitimate
Sarah Thompson boarder 20
William Thompson son 3mths. Illegitimate
All born Dudley Worcs.

11/7/1869 St. James Lower Gornal Selina Long 23 father Thomas Long
Samuel Rogers 28 Father William Rogers

So Isabella Dixon ( Dickson) who married Thomas Long etc must have been dau of George Radford or his wife Ann
