James & Lucy Mobsby

Postby SRD » Wed Feb 15, 2012 11:14 am

I have a James Mobsby bap 22nd April 1821, Cowfold, Sussex who was living in the household of John Nye in Shermanbury, Sussex in 1841 and who probably married Lucy Burtenshaw (bap either 14th August 1814 in Wivelsfield, Sussex or 5th January 1823 in Coombes, Sussex) on the 30th October, 1843 in Cowfold, Sussex. They had a son Henry bap 25th February 1844 in Cowfold, Sussex.

After that they seem to have vanished (or I'm doing something wrong). Can anyone find them for me please.

Thanks, that looks like them. Slum dwellings in those days, social housing now. I wonder what happened to husband James? I note the entry refers to Lucy as a widow.

If no-one can find James' death it might as well be.
