completed thankyou...WHITE/ WHITEHOUSE/ COLEMAN .. Tipton

Post by expat66 »

I think these 3 families are linked and am trying to sort out connections between them.

RF very kindly did this lookup for me ...Richard WHITE is my husband's great grandfather..
3 Mar 1856
Tipton marriage of Richard WHITE (21) bachelor .. miner .. resident Park Lane.. father Richard WHITE (miner) .... bride Mary Jane COLEMAN (20) spinster .. resident Park Lane .. father Matthew COLEMAN (miner) ... witnesses Isaac WHITEHOUSE(?) & Nancy COLEMAN

I Have for the WHITE family....
1851 census
Lower Green, Tipton, Staffordshire, England
Richard WHITE(47) coal miner born B'ham ...everyone else born Tipton,
wife Eliza(46),
kids Noah(20)coal miner,
Thomas(18)coal miner,
Richard(16) puddler,
Eliza(13),
Samuel(11),
Enoch(8),
William(6)

1841 census
Furnace Row (?),Tipton, Staffordshire, England
Richard WHITE(35) labourer not born in County....others all born in County
....Eliza(35),
Mary(15),
George(13),
Noah(10),
Thomas(9),
Richard(6),
Eliza(3),
Samuel(1)

I was wondering whether this Mary WHITE on BCC could be the 15 year old daughter in the above 1841 census ... which would make her the sister of the Richard WHITE from the marriage of 1856
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... ite-Family
I notice that she married a WHITEHOUSE .. and there is a WHITEHOUSE as a witness on that marriage for Richard WHITE

My 'ancestry' membership has expired & can't rejoin till I get my new credit card through ( grrrr!)
... so I am struggling to search around this connection.... It would be nice to see if there were WHITEHOUSEs and COLEMANs and WHITEs living near each other
What do you think?

I know there's someone who's done a one name study on Whitehouses. I'll see if I can dig out the name.
