WEDGE family, Sedgley 1800s

Post by expat66 »

This is a spin off from that Job WHITTON & Sarah BRADFORD thread.

The parents of the Elizabeth WEDGE on that thread ( born 1810 Sedgley) are listed as James WEDGE & Mary BRIERWOOD.

I was looking up WEDGES on familysearch and comparing with what is on BCC and noticed that there is a Harriet WEDGE on BCC

http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... dge-Family

On familysearch there is a Harriet WEDGE Christened on 8 Mar 1812 in Sedgley ... parents James WEDGE & Mary
... just wondered if this might be the same family of WEDGES .. ie. could Elizabeth WEDGE & Harriet WEDGE be sisters?

What do you think?

The IGI has:-

MARTHA WEDGE - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 18 SEP 1814 Sedgley, Stafford, England
ELIZABETH WEDGE - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 01 APR 1810 Sedgley, Stafford, England

HARRIOT WEDGE - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Female Christening: 08 MAR 1812 Sedgley, Stafford, England

Would need to find a marriage for Elizabeth, hoping it was after 1837, or check all the Sedgley Burials to see if she died Expat.

.... WEDGEs on the 1841 census

Mary Wedge 60 abt 1781 Female
