My great great grandmother was born in India during the period of the Raj. I notice the most likely entry for her and many others seems to be repeated sometimes at least twice.
Her entries read;
Place Year Regt. Vol. Page
Cavanagh, Mary A Trichinopoly 1845 105th 31 69
Cavanagh, Mary A Trichinopoly 1845 105th 31 10
Does anybody know why this is, and will I have to order two certificates to get the full picture?

This could be that the record was made and then sent to a central place and that both have been indexed on the same index.
You would need to speak to someone wise on Indian records to know if this is the case.

Re: Army Births & Baptisms
I wonder if the Military section may help?
I will move this over there for you.

Thanks, I hadn't noticed there was one.
