HIs children are baptised at St Thomas, Dudley but he isn't.

THe spelling is what is shown in the register.

Stephen Rollinson born 13th April 1823. Baptised 9th November 1823.

Sebra Rolinson baptised 20th March 1825.

Ellen Rollason born 19th December 1826. Baptised 6th June 1827.

Stephen Rollinson baptised 2nd November 1828.

Rosetta Rollinson baptised 5th September 1830.

Isaiah Rollinson born 21st August 1832. Baprised 9th June 1833.

His marriage is not there either.

Hi Nessa

You're unlikely to find births and Christenings this early on Ancestry. You would have more luck on family search - http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Search/ ... search.asp

Is this your family on BCC - http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... onnections

The marriage listed above is the only one (with wife Elizabeth) on FamilySearch between 1803 and 1829.

Thank you for the replies, I had come across the marriage to Elizabeth 1811 but had dismissed it due to the spellings since then have found a few variations so perhaps I should look at that again. If that is them though there is a long wait until the first birth. With the children Mark found I have 2 of them Stephen and Rosetta but the other names are new to me, would the Stephen born first have died and they named a later child Stephen?

Yes, that was quite common to have more than one child with the same name.

Today I think we would think it a bit morbid but I have seen it often in my family tree.
