You could have a point there MG
I have taken his info from a headstone inscription which says....

Ellen Rollason died Aug 30th 1897 aged 30 years
also
William, son of the above died Nov 9th 1909 aged 12 years
also
William Henry Rollason died Oct 6th 1938 aged 73 years
and his beloved wife Sarah died Feb 16th 1951 aged 87 years

I cant have the William/Ellen marriage 1895 looked up cos it was at a Register Office but as Ellen died in 1897, that William/Sarah Roberts marriage in 1896 can't be right :?

Perhaps Ellen was a relation?

This isn't making sense

There is an Ellen Rollason (1866) who marries in 1895 dies in 1897 having had a son William in 1897 who in 1901 is living with Father(?) William H Rollason and Sarah who appear to have married in 1896!

either we have two different families here or someone has got there dates all wrong!

I'm baffled too MG, I've checked the headstone inscription and all dates are o'k.
I've requested a look up for this marriage...
