COMPLETED.....Enoch WILLETTS-----

Post by karenleo »

Hi, I'm looking for any descendants of my great-grandfather Enoch WILLETTS who was born in 1858 in Warley Wigorn, married Abiatha/Bertha SMITH at Dudley St Thomas, had children in Warley and Oldbury and ended up living on Farm Road, Langley Green where he died in 1939. He was a bricklayer and the
1911 census says he worked for a Mr Strong. My grandfather was his son Joseph who was a butcher and worked in Sparkhill.

Any comments or pointers would be greatly appreciated. :-)

Thank you

Karen

Hello Karen - welcome to the Forum. You might like to know that Farm Road is still intact. My daughter lived there until about 7 years ago.

Goodness me, peterd and farside - don't you sleep? :-) Thank you both so much for all the information - I think I have most of it but your hard work is really appreciated and I'll spend this evening making sure I haven't missed anything.

Antie Em - thank you for your comment. Do you know what Farm Road was like then? I'm assuming not as rural as it sounds?!

Farm Road is was exactly as it is now - terraced houses with small gardens. The one side of the road backs on to Barnford Park and the other side runs parallel with Causeway Green Road. You can see it on Google Earth - Farm Road, Oldbury, B68, UK.
