We have had some lovely days here, so warm!

Then you can see all the work that needs doing in the garden and time to do it

Now that the kids are grown ( 9 and 11) my daughter and her other half are turning the playhouse into a chicken coop (thinks that's what you call it). We're waiting for the eggs to hatch. The kids are so excited ....

A chicken coop is a place where chickens are kept and inside there are often nest boxes for egg laying and perches on which the birds can sleep.
A coop may have an outdoor run. Both the inside and outdoor floors of a chicken coop are often strewn with a loose material such as straw or wood chips to deal with chicken droppings and to allow for easier cleanup. Don't forget ventilation to get rid of any nasty odours!!!

Yes - that's what they're having. The playhouse has windows and an upstairs. Need to add a few perches and nest boxes. It also has a garage, so we are making a door between the garage and the house. And t will have an outdoor run.

We used to keep chickens when I was a kid - so I know how smelly they can be (I'll be keeping well away)

It's been lovely here the last few days, sun's shining, bulbs are growing like mad! We had a frost last night though and frost's forcast for the next couple of nights, so that'll slow things down a bit, but hopefully the sun in the daytime will help things a bit!

Had a few days off work this week so yesterday after i'd finished in the garden i decided to go for a bike ride.
Went past The Keukenhof and the bulbs are starting to come up.The fields soon will be a mass of different colours.
