Many thanks to kdwoodie for adding details for Nellie Fowkes (formerly SMITH) in relation to the 1939 Register.

The entry on the Register certainly confused me, but I think the address is Eardiston Farming Co Barracks, Lindridge. The location is 5 or 6 miles east of Tenbury Wells. I investigated what was there as I had assumed that the area was fruit trees, and so was interested to find that the crop was hops. It may be that other have information on the location.

Are you looking for more info of that area?
If you are I think this topic would be better in general as this is only Black Country area. :)

People from Black Country went annually hop picking to Worcestershire countryside.
My grandmother Ellen Brookes ( nee Parsons) went every year until she died in mid 1950's and we used to visit her. She either went to Tenbury or Calloway End near Worcester and we used to visit her from Blackheath ( my father , mother and my two brothers and I)
