Redditch street names/families

Postby Frodo » Wed Jun 10, 2020 4:28 pm

I am currently sorting and scanning some of my father's pstcard collection and I have just found ne with an address/name I do not recognise. The postcard is a photo of the Primitive Methodist Church, Blackheath and it was written at some point during the reign of George V (1910-36) but there's no postmark and it is from my grandfather to his mother (Joseph Taylor/Martha Manger Taylor). As my grandfather moved to Blackpool in 1928 I suspect it predates then but post dates 1911 when my great grandfather died. It is addressed to Martha care of an E Davis in Headless, Redditch but I cannot quite read the street name - it is possibly Eves Lane or Eves Ham Road - I just wondered if anyone knows Redditch and can tell me about ths address or even about E Davis. I have a letter written by my Great Uncle Albert which suggests there are relatives in Redditch but I have never found any in my searches.

Any help with either the street name or the person's name would be great.
