Writing Your Family History Stories

Postby chiddicks » Sun Dec 08, 2019 12:30 pm

I have finally started to write up the life stories of my Ancestor's before it's too late!! I have been putting it off for years, but I have finally given it a go this year.

I have just finished a project of writing up the life stories of my 8 x great grandparents

their stories can be found here......

My latest mammoth task is to write up the life stories of my 16 great-great grandparents, a marathon task, but if I don't start now I never will!!

I have completed the first two!!

I have given my blog website a little bit of love and care as it looked a little bare. I was happy with the content of the blogs, but not how it was presented on the website. Anyway hope you like it, appreciate any feedback both positive and negative, thanks https://chiddicksfamilytree.com

Happy New Year!
I like the two life-stories that you have done. The added pictures bring some life to it. One of my kids is finally expressing an interest in seeing some family history so I need to try and put something similar together for some of my lot.

happy new year to you as well!

Thanks for the compliment, much appreciated, I would add that the sooner you can start with your own families stories the better. I kept putting of writing mine for way too long, why not make it a goal for 2020.

I have continued with the mammoth task of writing up the life stories of my 2 x Great Grandparents, its taking a long time to piece together the info, as we all know the further back we go the harder it is to find the records.

I hope you enjoy them.

The first one you can learn a bit about the Cement Industry and even see the Church that I was Baptised in!
