Ancestry membership

Postby mde » Fri Jan 19, 2018 10:27 am

Hello:

I joined Ancestry last year for a trial period and then a further month. I exhausted what sources they had for me (very little as I am mostly interested in Ireland) so I terminated my membership. I recently found they have army pension records. I can't find my great, grandfather (who was in the 8th Hussars) in the WO42 records on FMP but was told on a military forum that he is in the Ancestry records. I tried to rejoin but it says my card details don't work. I have checked and they are definitely right. I also tried via Paypal and it goes through with them but Ancestry seems to decline. Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

M!

Seems odd?
I never have had a problem them taking money off me!
Perhaps if you add who you are looking for people may be able to help in General or Military area?

I have sent three emails to [email protected] and they don't reply. Their telephone number is 0800 which you can't dial from outside the UK! I have finally managed to pay by opening a new account and using paypal.
