Unitarian Chapel

Postby dudleytaylor » Wed Oct 09, 2013 6:59 pm

Today I received my great grandparents wedding certificate , and it said that they had their marriage solemnized at the Unitarians Chapel in Oldbury . I know my mother was Baptist ,but I know very little about these religions ,as I was brought up as C of E . Is their anyone that can tell me about being a Unitarian in the 1880's .

How much do you want to know? There's a lot on wiki with more here.

Many thanks SRD , I will read what you have found for me , I read a little yesterday about their beliefs ,but it was more to do with their attitude to being a Unitarian today ,rather than what it was like in 1880. I found their religion refreshing ,and quite simple .
