The 1851 Census says he was born in Tipton, but there is no mention of him on the IGI. There is only St Martins in Tipton with registers as early as 1812. Are there any clues on his marriage or his death certificate - maybe a brother?

He is living in Tipton in the 1841 census and claims he was born in Tipton in the 1851 census.

1851 he says he was born 1812 and 1841 he says we was born 1816.

Only Solomon birth that suits is this one.

Would be held at the Archives, try emailing Dudley Archives first and ask them if they hold them if not it may be the County Record Office in Stafford. HTH from Linell.
