But i have him and Sarah together through to 1901? and i'm 99.9% sure I have the correct couple as in 1851, Johns mother is living with them. I beleive he died in 1907, tho don't have cert.
They also named 2 children (1 died) Jacob Hill Parish
thanks

To be honest I'm not sure what the question is, never mind the answer!

1861 Census
RG9/2059 Place: Dudley WOR -Staffordshire Enumeration District: 28
Civil Parish: Dudley Ecclesiastical Parish: St Edmunds
Folio: 5 Page: 5 Schedule: 22

Surname First name(s) Rel Status Sex Age Occupation Where Born Remarks
BENTLEY George Head M M 31 Publican & Farmer Shropshire - Bridgnorth
BENTLEY Sarah Wife M F 41 Worcestershire - Dudley
PARISH Thomas Stpson U M 14 Scholar Worcestershire - Dudley
HILL William Grnson U M 8 Scholar Worcestershire - Dudley
PARISH Hannah Servnt U F 19 Domestic Servant Staffordshire - Kingswinford
HORTON Emma Servnt U F 13 Domestic Servant Worcestershire - Redditch

1851
Hall Street, Dudley
Sarah Parrish head wid 36 butcher
Hannah Hill dau 19
William Hill son 13
George Parish son 12
Charles Parish son 8
Thomas parish son 5
all born Dudley

1841
Birmingham St, Dudley
John Hill 25 grocer
Sarah ditto 25
Hannah ditto 7
William ditto 2
all born in parish

Mmm, so if John Hill died after 1841 and Sarah married a Parrish (who died before 1851) then it looks as though George Parish at least was the son of her 2nd husband. And then she married George Bentley. How complicated! Then again, that 1841 might not be correct.

1841
Hall? St, Dudley
Chas Parish 20 butcher
Jane ditto 20
Sarah ditto 3
George ditto 2
all born in county

That looks possible since he is a butcher

Charles Parish m Sarah Hill 11 Jun 1846 St Thos Dudley (IGI)

The Hannah parish aged 19 who is a servant in the 1861 household could be a relative and there is this lot

1841
Kingswinford
George Parish 25 butcher
Ann Maria diito 25
Emma ditto 3
Charles ditto 1
Ann Jones 15 FS

1851
Kingswinford
Ann Maria Parish head mar 35 proprieor of house
Emma Parish dau 13
Charles ditto son 11
Hannah ditto dau 9
Selena ditto dau 6
Mary Jane ditto dau 4

Just wondered if this George and the Charles Parish in the previous post were related since they are both butchers.

lol... yes I'm confused.

Try and simplify it.

I have a Sarah Hill in my tree whom married a John Parish...
John Parish married Sarah Hill (fathers name Jacob Hill) in Kingswinford 25th Sept 1848. Both from Brockmoor

My John bapt 1827 Brierley Hill. Parents James and Elizabeth Parish

Sarah and John I can trace through on the census' from 1851 to 1901. I beleive that John dies in 1907. I'm as sure as can be this is correct as they have John's mother with them in 51, and then the children connect through the census'. They also had children called Jacob Hill Parish (note sarahs fathers name).
But then i by chance came across this Sarah married to George, with Parish and Hill children with her in 1861.

I cant connect them to my family...
So my question is can any of you?? Or are the Parish and Hill names Just a coincidence and they are 2 different families??
