this is odd

on the 1841 next to James Powel
is a Richard Jones aged 50
and wife Ruth aged 60

and looks like their kids

can anyone track back the sons of James brother to hopefully a William

I am for the moment moving this to Brick walls as we are running with a few threads
on the Powells to try and crack this sideways etc etc.
And we are waiting of certifs too.

We still do not know who James Powell links to
we think it may be him aged 20 on 1841 living with a 10yr old Elizabeth Cox.
But not sure.

if anyone wants this returned to the BC section pls pm a mod

was trying to get his dob

the workhouse record I mentioned to Mommy E that it might have more info
but you would have to scroll thru from 1871 up to that entry
to find when he went in.... :(

That is James Powell. Workhouse records give no more info, neither does death cert. :(

wonder if he was buried in a pauper grave or maybe a family one try segley where they keep the buiral records as there might be more than him in the plot eg brother, parent ?

Pauper grave. Have burial record - nothing really recorded other than date of burial, name, etc Buried St James. Died in the workhouse and I believe most of these were given pauper burials at St James' Eve HIll.

I know mine that died in sedgley workhouse was buried at queens cemetary dudley
