Well we can still keep this going.

Anyone have any thoughts about this 1933 Probate record?

sorry not sure what you mean?

I've looked back at Edwin Toy(e)'s born around the same time as when the Probate record said he was born and the closest I have is my Edwin Toy, and given that Ellen Toy whom he married was on the Probate record as Spinster, I'm thinking that this is him and he never died in 1891+ and that he and Ellen reconciled.

Or because he never got divorced from Ellen, although separated, when he died she inherited his money, but £700 in 1933? seems a lot for a brick layer.

Of course it may be completely wrong, but one thing is for sure, it's raising some eyebrows over here. :)

Oh I see, not got it yet, it was just a transcript from Ancestry.

I'm planning in the next week or so to meet my great aunt who is the grandchild of Edwin and Ellen, and she may be able to tell me more information.

It all does point to this Edwin, being the original Edwin. The census pattern alone has me 90% convinced.

Hi did you ever buy the marriage cert? Best RF

Is this still a Brickwall, or have you solved it?
