The John Tertius birth is the only one with mother Beddall.

There is'nt an actual marriage for a " John Tertius Hill "

West Midlands Marriage indexes for the years: 1869.
HILL John. DOODY Agnes E. Amblecote, Holy Trinity. Dudley Register Office. 015/002/339.

You need a look up for it,

Got a feeling Joseph Hill will be named as father of John on this marriage, might be a clue in the father's occupation. Possibility there is another John hill From Quarry Bank may be illig. with mother ? Hill. As usual more research needed. Would like to separate out the various Hill families. A lot seem to be in Quarry Bank/Lye/Kingswinford. and another cluster in Netherton, they seem to be moving between the two places.
May be Tertius has been wrongly transcribed a Perkins ? long shot.

My John Hill was in Northfield Rd, Darby End , Netherton in 1871 with prospective in laws Greaves. Was he in Netherton in 1861, 1851 or in Quarry Bank?

I have a John Hill (1746 -1819) who married Elizabeth Cooper (1746 - ?) at Oldswinford on 25 December 1760. FHL Film No: 291635. I agree that there are too many John Hills!
