I have a marriage for Lucy Brooks and Thomas Willetts from Rowley Regis Clent 1825. Bachelor and spinster wit. Arthur Rogers and Ruth Rogers. The wit can be found close to the bride and groom 1841 and 51 c. Old Hill area. I see there is a baptism for Lucy Brooke 1790 at St Giles parents John Brooke and Lea. Also some others bap to this couple. Think they must be this Lucy's family. Still not certain these are Edward Willetts 1821 parents. Elizabeth born rather late mum would have been 48 ish. What do you think.? In 1851 Lucy age 62 and Thomas 52.

I think they could be his grandparents but there are an awful lot of Thomas Willetts. Don't think they are the Hayseech lot. Looking round Old Hill . Wilkes Fold is in Old Hill. Very tightly knit community Old hill. Did you find Lucy Brooke 1790 I found her on Free Par. reg site.

I make it that Lucy would have been about 38.

Ups. my maths pretty bad. 38yr that's OK. There is a Thomas Willetts living in Wilks Fold I think this is Hannah and Williams son but not Edward 1821's dad, so Thomas and Lucy address Old Hill probably still the best guess.

I've got Lucy Brooke bap 20 Jan1790 parents John and Leah, Phebe Brooks 22 July 1792 parents John and Leah, John Brooks 2nd august 1792 ditto. pos. death 2nd August age 3 1795. Burial Leah Brook 10 May 1801 wife of John brook. John Brookes burial OLDHILL 26th May 1833. All at St Giles. Can these go on as Lucy's family? Also Bap John son of William and Mary Brookes 9th June 1751 could be John's (died 1833 Old Hill) parents.
