ARC TBC Pheobe Cooper, Anthony Lawton

Postby Nicholas19 » Wed Jun 29, 2016 9:49 am

Hi,

A few lookup requests if anyone can help. I'm trying to find the parents of Phoebe Cooper b.c. 1814 in Kingswinford. I know her father was Joseph Cooper but that's about it. I don't know her mother's name or other ancestry. I already know about her marriages and children.

I can't find any birth information on Anthony Lawton/Lotton who married Jane Yates on 14 Feb 1818 in Sedgley, though Jane's parents I know are John Yates b.c. 1763 in Overley, Shropshire and Ann.

The only possible baptism I can see is:
12 Dec 1819 at Brierley Hill, Phoebe daughter of Joseph and Sarah Cooper

There are two other baptisms in this period at Brierley Hill, in 1814 and 1816, but neither has father Joseph.

I am guessing that you have Joseph from a marriage certificate- do you have his occupation as it might be worth finding the family of the above Joseph and Sarah in the census to see if occupation matches?

How sure are you of the year?

Is something muddled up with Jane? She says her father is deceased in 1845 when she possibly remarried and her father is still living in 1851 with his son?

dunno when Anthony has died maybe before 1836.
