*Archive?* Plese Help - HERBERT CRESSWELL

Postby nogden74 » Wed May 04, 2011 9:29 am

can anyone help me trace a herbert cresswell. he was my nana's biological father. Her biological mother was called florence knowles. I am having great difficulty in tracking down anything about herbert as he and florence were never married. They had a child in 1923 (my nana) called esme elsie cresswell, any information would be most useful

I can find 5 Herberts in 1901 and 1911, none living in Birmingham. Do you have your nans birth certificate, and does it state his occupation or any other details about him?

There's nothing on Free BMD, I searched from 1890 - 1910 for Birmingham. You need to search the full index which is on Ancestry I believe. Linell.
