Can someon pls post details for William Smart with father William Smart
in Rowley Regis on the 1861 census

he may be born in Leics ...but want to run here with it cos it sort of links to BC.

I want to know what happens to him?

the IGI there is a baptism for a William Roberts 1853 Langtoft Lincs 22nd May.
To a Selina Roberts no father.

-There are 2 Wm Smarts Regis in Bourn Lincs.

That place of birth for Wm Roberts is Market Deeping isn't it, the same as 1861 Can't find a bap for a Wm Smart 1853 ish

I take it that Selina is DA of Thomas not Wife

Just checked the image and that does say DA.

registrar at Sandwell said

"We cannot locate any death entry for either a William Roberts or William Smart in our records dying in Rowley Regis.”
Nb I asked them for father wm smart mother Selina and this Wm Smart /Roberts dying betw 1861 – 1871… but nothing.

-And Dudley..” I have searched our indexes between 1861 and 1871 for William Roberts
and William Smart and, as you point out, there are several.

I have checked all the appropriate registers and can find no connection
to Tibbetts Gardens/Cradley Heath area and none of these males were born
to Selina and William."

so my Q is

what happened to him?
how can he just disappear

What happened to Joseph Smart?

and who is that G.son John aged on 1881 with Selina
